What Is Prompt Engineering?

Prompt engineering is the practice of writing clear instructions for AI models so their output is accurate, consistent and useful in real work.

Good prompts define the role, the task, the constraints and the output format. Weak prompts leave those decisions to the model, which creates unpredictable results.

In the AI in Hands program we practise prompting on real tasks: writing production copy, extracting structured data, reviewing code and driving multi-step AI workflows.
